Sinus infection (medically termed as rhinosinusitis) is often caused by a virus, in some cases by bacteria and rarely due to fungus. In this ailment, the nasal cavities are infected and become inflamed and swollen. 

Relentless facial pressure, sinus pain and headache, throat irritation and cough, nasal discharge and congestion, and a hoarse voice are primary symptoms of Sinus infection. 

Treatment: Cefpodoxime, Doxycycline, Amoxicillin-clavulanate,or Levaquin.
